SFMI is an established member of the Bay Area design community with an active and diverse client base.  Part of the secret of our success is the length of time we have worked together as a team - most of us have made SFMI our workplace home for more than a decade (or four)!  We have an opening for a CAD/Revit operator. 

CAD/Revit Draftsperson

If you have the following skills, we would very much like to talk to you:

• 5 years minimum U.S. design project production experience in contemporary AutoCAD and Revit, including Layer management, Viewports, X-refs, Blocks, Plot/Pen Configurations.

• Electrical/low voltage systems drafting standards and conventions.

• Ability to produce drawings from engineer’s sketches & redlines.

• Ability to learn technical concepts and retain them.

• Ability to multi-task, working on multiple projects with overlapping deadlines.

• Organized & detail-oriented.

• Good spelling skills and the ability to QC the work as it is being produced.

• Dependable and reliable in schedule.

• Good people skills.

• Knowledge of basic MS Windows file management and MS Excel.

• Capacity for growth and innovation.

• Availability for field work in support of the engineering team.

Applicants should anticipate that they will be tested on their CAD skills as part of the interview. The test will involve standard steps associated with MEP drafting.

Position is FULL-TIME, and offers paid medical insurance, vacation and holidays.
