Foothill and De Anza College Projects win Design Awards
SFMI salutes Ratcliff Architects for the multiple awards heaped on their work at Foothill and DeAnza Colleges in the last week.
At the week's opening, AIA East Bay awarded Ratcliff their 2013 Honor Award for the Physical Sciences and Engineering Center in Los Altos Hills. Ratcliff's design of the Mediated Learning Center for De Anza Community College received a Citation honor at the same event. Images of both projects can be seen at the AIA East Bay's site.
Within the week, the PSEC project received a second honor at the 2013 Structures Awards ceremony, sponsored by the Silicon Valley Biz Journal, which recognized the project in the category of Best Green Project/Most Innovative Design (Public).
SFMI provided the educational and communications systems engineering, acoustical engineering and design of the electronic security systems for both of these highly innovative projects.
