Chapel & Religious Center for Murphy Canyon Family Housing, San Diego, California
Scope of Services: Sound system, acoustics and audio visual design for 600 seat multiple denomination chapel, social halls and educational complex.
Sound systems provide for automatic and manual operation. Systems are intended to support contemporary music performance.
In addition to the challenge of designing a facility to meet the needs of multiple faiths, an especially challenging aspect of the project was its procurement
process. Murphy Canyon was at the time a U.S. Army base, however, the project was being procured by the U.S. Air Force through the Navy's Naval Facility Command using Navy procurement specifications.
