  • Master plan design of communications infrastructure for rehabilitation of communications utilities across Valley floor.

  • California State Fair and Exposition, Sacramento, California
  • 380 acres of fairgrounds including 8,000 seat Grandstand, Rodeo, Equestrian Center, Expo Arts Center, Exposition Exhibit Buildings and over one dozen subsidiary performance stages, exhibit buildings and demonstration spaces.

    Design of new Fairwide paging, foreground music and emergency alert systems , including 12 command/control points, dozens of local entertainment systems, 32 master addressable zones and 4 levels of hierarchy/prioritization. System uses unique broadcast signal quality fiber optic distribution and control systems.  SFMI served as prime for a design effort incorporating the system Electrical Engeineering requirements. SFMI also provided environmental acoustics assessments and operational guidelines to minimize the impact on the surrounding residents.

  • Humbolt Redwoods State Park, Humbolt County, California
  • Assessment of the noise impact of proposed motorcross park on the ambient of the State Park across the highway.

  • Monterey Aquarium, "Monterey Bay" Exhibit, Monterey, California
  • Design of enhanced sound system to allow explanation of exhibit to audience by divers in tank, as well as by presenters within audience area and with prerecorded material. System shifts frequency of outside presenter's voice so as to avoid sound system feedback.

  • East Bay Regional Parks District, Beach and Pool Emergency Paging Systems, Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, California
  • Concept design of robust outdoor paging systems to provide emergency crowd control around the Park District's major beaches and pools. Systems designs feature weatherised outdoor access points coupled to high level speech frequency horns mounted on buildings, bluffs and poles at the following facilities:
