SFMI has provided the design for several of the largest communications systems within the University of California system, inluding the design of the:

• 100 building UC Davis ResNet System
• 150 building UC Santa Cruz Student Communications System. 
• 239 building UC Davis UCDNet2 (see here for project highlights)
• 72 building UC Santa Cruz Communications Cabling Upgrade

In each case, SFMI served as Prime System Designer, hiring and coordinating the work of architects, electrical, mechanical, structural and civil engineers. 

SFMI is also serving as the communications engineer for both the campus infrastructure design (including design of the new NOC) and of the Science and Engineering building at the new U.C. Merced campus.

SFMI is also active in Community College work, including designs for Merced Community College and the City College of San Francisco (CCSF).
