670,000 square ft expansion spanning a six lane freeway including 205,000 square ft of exhibit hall and 73,000 sq ft of divisible meeting rooms.

SFMI's scope of work amounted to $2.2 m (exclusive of base building provisions). Built without change orders, the expansion is operated by a technical staff of three.
Project Description:
$37 million in 1984, 316,000 square feet. Expansion of convention center including addition of 50,000 square feet of meeting rooms (divisible into 24 separate rooms), a 3,000
seat multipurpose room with a permanent 110 by 70 foot stage and 106,000 square foot of new exhibit halls.
Security systems were designed to the requirements of the Phoenix Police Departments to support jewelry industry shows.
The Security Control Room provides support facilities for a Watch Sergeant and 2 officers.
